Fuad Mohammad / Full-stack & Systems Engineer
I build thesystems behind real products.
I'm a full-stack engineer who ships end to end — from React front ends to Go, Node, and Python services. I've built AI features, token-metered billing, real-time collaboration, and security-critical infrastructure for products people actually use.
Selected work
A few products I've helped design, build, and ship — filter, search, then open any for the case study.
11 / 11 projects
↗ LiveBeFA — Finance & Accounting
A financial & accounting system built with React and a Go + PostgreSQL back end.
↗ LiveTelsem LMS
A learning-management system with course delivery and Stripe billing.
↗ LivePlace to be Ethiopia
A place-discovery platform for Ethiopia with map-based search and listings.
↗ LiveRecognise Design
A design-agency site — WordPress with a custom, React-driven theme.
↗ LiveColumbus Assicurazioni
An Italian insurance company site on Umbraco + ASP.NET Core.
↗ LiveECC — EV Chargers
An EV-charger e-commerce store on WordPress with a custom theme.
AI marketing automation for real-estate agents — LLM content generation with a transactionally-enforced token/credit system.
Chrome extension for real-time Amharic spell-checking in any website's text fields.
Backend for an exam-result verification tool — proxies official government result APIs with rate-limit-aware retry.
The tools I reach for
A pragmatic, polyglot toolkit — everything here I've shipped to production, not just tried.

Where I've worked
Roles across enterprise data platforms, real estate, and AI R&D — building front ends and the services behind them.
Software Engineer
Feb 2026 - Present- Contribute to an enterprise data-management & storage-orchestration platform across a Ruby on Rails, Angular 17, and Go stack.
- Shipped external Active Directory + Samba/SSSD integration with ACL synchronization, plus container-privilege and domain user/group handling.
- Built a Prometheus + gRPC metrics pipeline and role-aware dashboard analytics for the management console.
Lead Front-End Engineer
May 2024 - Feb 2026- Owned and architected the front end from the ground up for ReiSearch, an enterprise real-estate-investment platform, using React + TypeScript — shipping 50+ screens and a reusable component system aligned with Figma.
- Built key product features: property folder management, resource-based permissions (RBAC-style), a real-estate feed, and networking experiences.
- Went beyond the front end — built a token reservation/settlement billing flow end to end and integrated a streaming LLM "Renovation AI" assistant backed by a Go service.
- Implemented validation with Zod and standardized data/state using Redux Toolkit + RTK Query with caching and request deduping to reduce API noise and improve UX.
- Improved performance with lazy loading, route-based code splitting, and rendering optimizations for faster load and smoother navigation.
Full-Stack Engineer
Jan 2024 - May 2024- Built and optimized a Next.js recommendation platform with a strong focus on UI performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Delivered personalized recommendation experiences (movies/books/music) with clean UI flows and reusable components.
- Integrated GraphQL APIs using Apollo Server, enabling efficient data-fetching patterns and a smoother user experience.
Full-Stack Developer
Jun 2023 - Jan 2024- Collaborated with a cross-functional team to build and maintain healthcare and inventory-management systems, using Next.js, React, and TypeScript for scalable, responsive front-end solutions.
- Optimized database performance with .NET and SQL, reducing query times and improving overall application responsiveness.
Software Engineering Intern
Feb 2023 - Jun 2023- Developed responsive web interfaces with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS, elevating the user experience across mobile and desktop.
- Engineered core features in TypeScript, improving code maintainability and reducing bugs.
How I work
Full-stack and systems engineering — from the React front end to the Go, Node, and Python services, and the infrastructure behind them.
I'm a full-stack and systems engineer in Addis Ababa, working day to day with teams across North America and Europe. I build across the stack — React and Next.js on the front, Go, Node, Python, and Rails behind it.
My work tends to live where things get hard: token-metered billing, real-time collaboration, LLM and agent features, and security-critical infrastructure — end-to-end encryption, transactional integrity, RBAC. I sweat the parts that break in production, not just the happy path.
I move between languages and layers without much friction, and I ship end to end — from the first schema to the metrics that tell me it's holding up.
Product front ends
Design-faithful React/Next.js apps with real state architecture — Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, Zod validation — that stay fast as they grow.
Services & systems
APIs and back ends in Go, Node (serverless), Python, and Rails — including billing/metering, real-time, queues, and observability.
AI features that ship
LLM and agent features wired into real products: RAG, streaming assistants, and credit/decisioning — with graceful fallbacks and guardrails.
Security-minded engineering
E2E encryption, transactional integrity, and RBAC — I sweat the parts that break in production, not just the happy path.
Notes
Short technical write-ups on the hard parts — the architecture, the decisions, and the tradeoffs I'd defend, from real production and prototype work.
Don't take my word for it — run the pattern
The reserve → settle → refund cycle from the first note, running live. Credits are held before an async action, then charged or returned — and you can't reserve past your balance. Same shape I shipped in ReiSearch's billing.
Reserve → settle, live
Idle — reserve credits to begin.
no transactions — reserve to begin
Credits are reserved before an async action, then settled or refunded — atomic, no double-spend.
